How to go about a complete life makeover from finances to closet.. .?

Filed under: lasik financing — admin @ 5:39 am

I’m not happy at the job I’m at even though I work for Walgreen’s IT dept and it has great benefits. I can’t stand it because the 1.5 hour drive going and coming. Plus the long hours and they’re uber strict. My passion is to become a high school guidance counselor. I want to make over my finances so that I can own my home in the next couple years. I want to get the hell out of Illinois and move to a warmer climate. I want to do physical make over such getting rid of my adult acne, straightening and whitening my teeth, loosing 20lbs (I’m 5′1 145lbs), and get lasik eye so I never ever have to wear these gotdamn glasses anymore. I just don’t know where to start.

Well you have to start somewhere…. I would say moving to a warmer climate, then you would be forced to get a new career and go from there…

Just start one step at a time. Save up for awhile, and start applying for jobs in whatever state you wanna move to. ( I personally recommend California cause that’s where i grew up) Go for a walk every day and buy some of those teeth whitening strips. You can get where you want to be!

Lasikplus Offers Superior Patient Care And Optimum Results

Filed under: lasik financing — admin @ 9:00 pm

Lasik surgery has become one of the most popular elective surgeries in the United States. With more than a million procedures performed in the United States alone, Lasik has grown in popularity as technology has become more streamlined and the procedure has been perfected by skilled surgeons who perform it on a daily basis.

As the demand for Lasik grows, more and more centers devoted to Lasik open throughout the country. LasikPlus – one of the leaders in Lasik technology – has reputable centers that are located throughout the country and are committed to providing their patients with a superior level of care regardless of the center that they visit.

LasikPlus has been able to provide patients with such superior care and affordable prices because of the manner in which they conduct their business. A LasikPlus Vision Center -regardless of where it is located – performs a similar level of care. Each center is a template of the LasikPlus philosophy.

Currently, there are fifty centers throughout the country each dedicated to providing a standard of care that includes skilled and experienced surgeons who are top in the field, comprehensive patient care that extends to pre-operative visits and complete aftercare, advanced technology that represents the most state-of-the-art equipment on the market today, professional and respectful office and medical support staff that work together to ensure a positive experience for the patient, and affordable treatment through a variety of financing options.

Lasik surgery works to correct refractive difficulties experienced by patients and that is manifested in nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Such refractive disorders change the way that light is refracted through the lens to the retina. When the retina receives refracted light it then converts the signal it receives to a message that can be assimilated by the optic nerve in the brain; the optic nerve translates the message that it receives into a visual image. When light is not refracted properly, ultimately the message that is received by the retina is one of a blurry image.

Through the Lasik procedure, a thin incision is created in the top layer of the cornea in order to create a flap. When the flap is folded back, the surgeon is able to access the underlayer of the cornea, known as the stroma. Once the stroma is revealed the surgeon is able to resurface the area with the use of a laser; after which the flap is replaced on the eye and natural healing is allowed to begin.

While this may be a quick procedure it is still a surgical procedure that must be completed with enormous skill and precision. The surgeons of LasikPlus are committed to offering their patients the benefits of their ongoing training. Each procedure is approached independently and begins with a thorough pre-examination to determine the candidacy of the patient and the manner of procedure that will achieve the greatest success.

LasikPlus prides itself on treating its patients with the utmost respect; each patient is given personal service and the opportunity to ask questions of their surgeon prior to the procedure. In addition, the aftercare provided by the center is well-known in the industry and focuses on comprehensive follow-up and ultimate success.

Start with one project at time so you are not overwhelmed and give up. Easy task first, go to the grocery store and get some whitening strips(they work!) and after that’s done start your next project.

The Cost Implications Of LASIK Eye Surgery

Filed under: lasik financing — admin @ 4:03 pm

LASIK eye surgery is generally considered to be more expensive than other more conventional surgical procedures. This can in part be attributed to the use of high-tech equipment such as lasers.

Having said that, I think it is worthwhile to mention that the cost of LASIK continues to come down. This is in part due to improvements being made to the overall process, such as the use of more efficient and cheaper lasers.

According to the FDA, the average cost of LASIK eye surgery was in the region of $1,344 in 2005. This is a significant reduction from the original numbers listed in 2002 of nearly $1,600.

However, be as it may, when deciding on the type of LASIK eye surgery or surgeon, price should never be the overriding factor. Remember you’re not buying shoes, you’re taking a risk! So why not take the best calculated risk by going to someone who has built up a good reputation?

Here are a few things that may help you understand why the costs of LASIK laser surgery are high.

• The fee of leasing the building where the surgery is located.

• The leasing or purchase of the laser as well as maintenance of the blades or lasers can increase LASIK cost. Surgeons may also be upgrading to newer and more efficient lasers.

• There may be additional, per eye fees to be paid to the developer or manufacturer of the laser, if the machine is leased.

• You may need special gowns, masks, gloves, medications, or surgical solutions to keep the operating room sterile and safe.

• There may be advertising and insurance for the office.

When you are considering different LASIK surgery options it may be a good idea to ask your surgeon the following:

• What is and what isn’t included in the cost of the LASIK eye surgery?

• What if complications occur or if enhancements are needed. Will I be charged and if so, how much?

• What about the cost of LASIK medications such as anti-inflammatory or painkillers?

• Will I need temporary contact lenses after LASIK? Are they included in the cost or will they be paid for

separately?

• What about follow-up visits after LASIK? What are the costs if they are not included in the fee for the surgery?

Don’t forget to contact your insurance company to determine if they cover the cost of LASIK laser surgery. Some insurance companies don’t cover the cost of LASIK because they see it as a cosmetic enhancement.

If financing is not a problem you should strongly consider using a LASIK surgeon who best fits your needs and addresses your concerns.

For those who already had successful LASIK procedures, the cost of LASIK laser eye surgery is a small price to pay compared to the joy offered by their newly improved vision.

Lasik eye surgery??

Filed under: lasik financing — admin @ 9:05 pm

I’m REALLY thinking about getting Lasik. I have an appt. for March 26 for a consultation. All together it would end up costing 3400, which I would finance 24 months interest free at about 140 dollars a month. I’m 21, I have a 4 month old who is almost to the point where hes riping my glasses off, I cant wear contacts they drive me crazy! I’ve worn glasses for 6 years and I’m over them! I want to lay in bed without my glasses…..do you think its a good idea? Has anyone gotten lasik and theyre vision change and have to go back to glasses? My dr. said they have corrected the surgery and its now permanant but how would I know???
its 300 for "touch ups" if your vision gets worse

i think you should do it! my husband has wanted lasik for years and we couldn’t afford it, so i’ve been saving up and i’m going to pay for him to get lasik as his graduation present from medical school. i think it’s an opportunity that anyone should take who is able. you can’t put a price on your eyesight, as cliche as it sounds- it’s true. won’t it be great to see your 4 month old without having to look at him through lenses? lucky you! congratulations =)

lasik eye surgery…?

I would like to get surgery to get rid of my glasses but I would like to know what is the best and safest one to do out of lasik and all the other ones? not passing $2500 and have some type of financing or something

The cost of Lasik varies greatly depending upon where you are, which clinic you select, and your specific needs. Conventional Lasik may be as low as $599 per eye, but your needs may require higher technology. Only a comprehensive examination from a competent Lasik doctor can provide you this answer.

I work for a nonprofit Lasik patient advocacy. We do not provide Lasik, just Lasik information and we certify Lasik doctors’ patients’ outcomes.

Lasik is considered medically safe and effective, but you should also consider the alternative PRK or its cousins LASEK and Epi-Lasik. They have some advantages over Lasik, if they are appropriate for you. All vision correction surgery is surgery and has risks as well as benefits. Become informed and make the best decision for you.

You may want to visit our website to review the preliminary results of the USAEyes Competence Opinion Relative to Expectations (CORE) patient survey. See:

http://www.usaeyes.org/lasik/faq/lasik-results-1.htm

We also have an active Lasik patient bulletin board where you can ask others who have had the surgery about their experiences.
