I hope I can get … I hope I can get this answered as soon as possible, because I would be meeting with my optometrist in about a month on PRK and Lasik, procedure and risk wise.
I know he’d avoid telling me the CORRECT risks, so I’m here to impose the question on to you guys:
1) Which is safer? They say 95% of Lasik surgeries comes out perfect. What about PRK?
wait until you are … wait until you are 30. I had Lasik done when I was 22 and my miopia (nearsightedness) came back. it is best for you to wait than regret. you will grow until you are 25
wow, I don’t know … wow, I don’t know to do! I have my appointment for my PRK surgery for Aug 29th and I hope that I’m going to be fine after 3 days….so…..any advice? but, i don’t wanna wait more than 2 weeks
lol. i was actually … lol. i was actually thinking about getting laser eye surgery, but after reading these comments, I fear 4 my life. lol. I think I can handle the side effects after surgery, I just don’t know about pain during surgery. lol. I have these crazy thoughts that the surgery may make my vision get worse. I don’t wanna go blind or anything!!! lol
Excellent Video. I … Excellent Video. I am 15 years old and my Doctor said when I’m 18 and am done growing I will be a able to get it. I’m doing it no matter how much of a debate there is. I’m not really worried about it at all because my eyes are so that I need this and I don’t care how much pain is involved.
i had both eyes … i had both eyes done at the same time and honestly the recovery wanst fun at all burned alot cant open my eyes feels like i have tons of dirt in it and my vision is blurry . and im super sensitive to bright light i hope so much suffering is worth it. sorry for ny typos im writing blind this is my 3rd day after surgery. but all i can say isrecovery HURTS

look dudes just … look dudes just never get lasik/lasek. alot more can go wrong during surgery and even after surgery if you get a blow to the head it can permanently up your vision
Thanks a lot for … Thanks a lot for the information.
And what do you mean by saying “A lasik flap never actually heals and could even dislocate 10 years post surgery. Prk heals back to natural corneal integrity “You mean the vision gets cleared and you got no problem after the 2 months at all?
The reason that … The reason that these doctors are so “cavalier” is because you are the exact person who calls constantly after surgery even though you were told what to expect post surgery. We tell patients not to expect good vision for at least 2 months post surgery. If you weren’t told that, then the doctors who did your surgery needed better informed consent prior to surgery.
I am coa certified, … I am coa certified, and work in a refractive clinic that does prk and lasik surgery. If you are planning on doing prk(which is the safer surgery)Plan on at least 2 months before your vision is really clear. You should be using medicated drops and artificial tears for at least the first 2 months. This guy making the video really doesnt have a clue what he is talking about. A lasik flap never actually heals and could even dislocate 10 years post surgery. Prk heals back to natural corneal integrity
Hey I’m 19 years … Hey I’m 19 years old and I plan if not at 20 at 21 to do the PRK surgeon.
Can you describe me the surgeon experience and the afterward procedure you had to follow (taking drops, pills etc.)
Was it hard with these iron things opening your eye because I got not very open eyes-_-
I saw at youtube the video and got scared..:=
Please answer me (I got 7 and 7.5 grades)
Hey man. Glad you … Hey man. Glad you made a video of your opinion. I just had PRK surgery 4 days ago. I’m sure you realize doesn’t feel any pain during surgery. After 2 days since surgery, I noticed a marginal improvement in vision. After 4 days, I noticed again but this time a more noticable improvement since day 2. This is my 4th day and obviously, I feel I can’t see good enough to drive right now, but I’m enjoying the improvments.
I’m at over 2 years … I’m at over 2 years and they still can’t get it right for me. I see halos at night and things like lights and digital clocks are “doubled”. I have had 2 “enhancements” since my first treatment and I would never do this again!!
Hey! Please let me …
Hey! Please let me know how you are doing? I just had this done two weeks ago and I am freaking out!

if your eyesight …
if your eyesight drops , you can always do a LASIK later on after you did PRK. don’t get nervous. trust the FDA.

I had Lasik done almost a year ago and still see night halos and day/night glare. Any laser eye surgery seems to be controversial, best of luck.
